Girls Action Network® (GAN) Partners with Harrisburg University and STEM-UP Network to Empower the Next Generation of Women in STEM
Bowie, MD — August 18, 2024 — Girls Action Network® (GAN), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping girls, particularly from underrepresented communities, thrive in the STEM, Supply Chain, and Skilled Trades (3S Workforce™), is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Harrisburg University of Science and Technology and its STEM-UP Network. This collaboration aims to advance workforce development in the 3S sectors by providing innovative educational and mentorship opportunities for girls and young women.
The partnership aligns with GAN’s mission to dismantle the stereotypes that limit girls’ career options and empower them to lead within the 3S Workforce™. Through this collaboration, GAN, Harrisburg University, and STEM-UP Network will leverage their collective resources and expertise to create a robust pipeline of skilled female professionals ready to meet the demands of the 21st-century workforce.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the organizations outlines key objectives, including Collaboration on STEM Education Initiatives; Enhancing Workforce Readiness; and Building Community and Capacity.
